Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Transport and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which rose 12.94% or 1.75 points to trade at 15.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) added 9.52% or 0.020 points to end at 0.230 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was up 4.42% or 0.050 points to 1.180 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS), which fell 7.91% or 0.33 points to trade at 3.84 at the close. Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR) declined 4.91% or 0.080 points to end at 1.550 and Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) was down 3.12% or 1.04 points to 32.34.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 170 to 156 and 79 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was up 0.55% or 6.95 to $1281.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.09% or 0.52 to hit $48.24 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.84% or 0.41 to trade at $49.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.46% to 2.9615, while EUR/TRY fell 0.33% to 3.3593.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 94.36.
