Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Sports, Metal Products & Machinery and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which rose 21.33% or 2.18 points to trade at 12.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER) added 5.74% or 2.15 points to end at 39.60 and Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN) was up 4.61% or 10.50 points to 238.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gsd Holding (IS:GSDHO), which fell 4.97% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.530 at the close. Konya Cimento (IS:KONYA) declined 4.60% or 18.50 points to end at 384.00 and Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR) was down 3.12% or 0.040 points to 1.240.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 210 to 191 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.05% or 0.60 to $1172.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.17% or 0.10 to hit $59.60 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.15% or 0.10 to trade at $63.30 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.37% to 2.6656, while EUR/TRY fell 0.12% to 2.9737.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 95.72.
