Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Tourism, Textile & Leather and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Do-Co (IS:DOCO), which rose 5.51% or 12.70 points to trade at 243.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) added 4.62% or 0.51 points to end at 11.54 and Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) was up 4.11% or 0.300 points to 7.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eregli Demir Celik (IS:EREGL), which fell 2.36% or 0.110 points to trade at 4.550 at the close. Aksa (IS:AKSA) declined 2.33% or 0.20 points to end at 8.37 and Yazicilar Holding (IS:YAZIC) was down 2.21% or 0.31 points to 13.71.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 186 to 141 and 79 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.45% or 6.05 to $1343.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.69% or 1.68 to hit $47.18 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 3.42% or 1.64 to trade at $49.62 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.54% to 2.9524, while EUR/TRY rose 0.72% to 3.3296.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 95.01.
