Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Holdings & Investments and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 4.35% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.240 at the close. Meanwhile, Gubre Fabrik. (IS:GUBRF) added 3.90% or 0.23 points to end at 6.13 and Erbosan (IS:ERBOS) was up 3.84% or 1.20 points to 32.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR), which fell 3.23% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.500 at the close. Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) declined 3.04% or 0.60 points to end at 19.15 and Anadolu Efes (IS:AEFES) was down 1.93% or 0.40 points to 20.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 219 to 180 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.26% or 2.90 to $1124.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.28% or 0.13 to hit $45.92 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 3.64% or 1.74 to trade at $49.37 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.74% to 3.0081, while EUR/TRY fell 0.74% to 3.3630.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 96.01.
