Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Transport and Tourism sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL), which rose 8.90% or 0.520 points to trade at 6.360 at the close. Meanwhile, Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) added 5.48% or 0.040 points to end at 0.770 and Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) was up 5.11% or 0.430 points to 8.850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN), which fell 4.69% or 0.33 points to trade at 6.71 at the close. Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN) declined 2.49% or 6.00 points to end at 235.00 and Aksa Enerji (IS:AKSEN) was down 2.40% or 0.060 points to 2.440.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 164 to 157 and 85 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.72% or 9.80 to $1347.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $48.25 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.45% or 0.23 to trade at $50.66 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.11% to 2.9305, while EUR/TRY fell 0.18% to 3.3184.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.46% at 94.54.
