Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Textile & Leather and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi (IS:CLEBI), which rose 6.09% or 1.28 points to trade at 22.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Anadolu Efes (IS:AEFES) added 3.96% or 0.80 points to end at 21.00 and Good-Year (IS:GOODY) was up 3.70% or 0.13 points to 3.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL), which fell 3.03% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.640 at the close. Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) declined 2.40% or 0.27 points to end at 11.00 and Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) was down 2.35% or 0.020 points to 0.830.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 206 to 121 and 78 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.50% or 6.65 to $1341.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.41% or 0.59 to hit $41.33 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.12% or 0.49 to trade at $43.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.18% to 3.0128, while EUR/TRY rose 0.10% to 3.3439.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 96.54.
