Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Information Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tumosan Motor Ve Traktor (IS:TMSN), which rose 7.54% or 0.540 points to trade at 7.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Vakif Gmyo (IS:VKGYO) added 4.76% or 0.100 points to end at 2.200 and Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS) was up 4.75% or 0.31 points to 6.83 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA), which fell 4.44% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.860 at the close. Anadolu Efes (IS:AEFES) declined 3.62% or 0.76 points to end at 20.24 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was down 3.51% or 0.020 points to 0.550.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 193 to 134 and 77 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS) rose to all time highs; rising 4.75% or 0.31 to 6.83.
Gold for December delivery was up 1.23% or 16.45 to $1357.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.58% or 0.24 to hit $41.38 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.09% or 0.04 to trade at $43.27 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.79% to 2.9885, while EUR/TRY rose 0.02% to 3.3384.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.17% at 95.56.
