Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Tourism, Sports and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE), which rose 19.67% or 0.120 points to trade at 0.730 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) added 19.05% or 0.120 points to end at 0.750 and Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) was up 12.75% or 1.17 points to 10.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestel (IS:VESTL), which fell 3.47% or 0.210 points to trade at 5.850 at the close. Sise Cam (IS:SISE) declined 3.40% or 0.110 points to end at 3.130 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) was down 2.66% or 0.110 points to 4.030.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 292 to 76 and 38 ended unchanged.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.64% or 8.55 to $1322.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.85% or 0.83 to hit $43.92 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.84% or 0.85 to trade at $45.35 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.23% to 3.0612, while EUR/TRY fell 0.80% to 3.3565.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.61% at 97.53.
