Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Tourism, Sports and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA), which rose 6.40% or 0.45 points to trade at 7.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS) added 5.62% or 0.240 points to end at 4.510 and Izmir Demir Celik (IS:IZMDC) was up 5.12% or 0.150 points to 3.080 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trabzonspor Sportif (IS:TSPOR), which fell 2.96% or 0.090 points to trade at 2.950 at the close. Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) declined 2.76% or 0.94 points to end at 33.06 and Eczacibasi Ilac (IS:ECILC) was down 2.48% or 0.100 points to 3.940.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 163 to 159 and 86 ended unchanged.
Shares in Izmir Demir Celik (IS:IZMDC) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.12% or 0.150 to 3.080.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.13% or 1.65 to $1268.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.83% or 0.95 to hit $50.87 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.07% or 1.09 to trade at $51.58 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.21% to 3.0554, while EUR/TRY fell 0.52% to 3.3432.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.37% at 98.23.
