Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs), which rose 6.55% or 15.8 points to trade at 257.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 2.41% or 3.20 points to end at 136.10 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was down 0.21% or 0.20 points to 94.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which fell 6.81% or 6.75 points to trade at 92.30 at the close. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) declined 2.82% or 2.60 points to end at 89.55 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was down 2.65% or 4.8 points to 176.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 269 to 169 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.50% or 0.25 to $50.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.15% or 0.09 to hit $56.73 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.00 to trade at $1104.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.22% to 9.3555, while USD/SEK fell 0.74% to 8.5570.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.72% at 97.47.
