Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.01%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which rose 0.43% or 0.8 points to trade at 187.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to end at 213.8 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was down 0.26% or 0.40 points to 153.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 2.85% or 0.75 points to trade at 25.57 at the close. Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) declined 2.12% or 5.8 points to end at 267.4 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 2.01% or 3.90 points to 190.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 413 to 182 and 46 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.43% or 0.20 to $46.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.45% or 0.22 to hit $49.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.49% or 6.65 to trade at $1350.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.15% to 9.5069, while USD/SEK rose 0.26% to 8.4375.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 94.86.
