Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which rose 0.36% or 0.32 points to trade at 88.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) added 0.20% or 0.12 points to end at 61.62 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 0.15% or 0.04 points to 26.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 2.38% or 4.60 points to trade at 188.80 at the close. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 1.78% or 3.3 points to end at 181.6 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was down 1.59% or 4.9 points to 302.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 369 to 220 and 59 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $48.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.45% or 0.23 to hit $50.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.73% or 9.85 to trade at $1347.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.18% to 9.4943, while USD/SEK rose 0.48% to 8.3866.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.46% at 94.54.
