Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 0.77% or 1.8 points to trade at 236.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 0.38% or 0.40 points to end at 104.60 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 0.29% or 0.50 points to 170.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 2.89% or 4.10 points to trade at 137.60 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 1.50% or 0.66 points to end at 43.30 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was down 1.40% or 1.7 points to 119.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 249 to 160 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.32% or 1.32 to $55.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.63% or 1.64 to hit $60.44 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.34% or 3.90 to trade at $1167.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.10% to 9.3848, while USD/SEK fell 0.01% to 8.4580.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.06% at 96.22.
