Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 1.28% or 3.6 points to trade at 285.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) added 0.42% or 0.20 points to end at 47.67 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was up 0.29% or 0.5 points to 170.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which fell 2.62% or 4.5 points to trade at 167.4 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 2.46% or 0.90 points to end at 35.68 and Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) was down 1.55% or 0.61 points to 38.63.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 366 to 229 and 66 ended unchanged.
Shares in SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) rose to 52-week highs; rising 0.29% or 0.5 to 170.6.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.57% or 0.29 to $51.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.35% or 0.19 to hit $54.13 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.75% or 8.75 to trade at $1178.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.15% to 9.8134, while USD/SEK fell 0.26% to 9.1986.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 100.84.
