Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which rose 0.79% or 0.60 points to trade at 76.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 0.42% or 0.40 points to end at 96.25 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was up 0.41% or 0.5 points to 121.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which fell 2.01% or 5.2 points to trade at 253.3 at the close. Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) declined 1.53% or 2.20 points to end at 141.30 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was down 1.51% or 2.50 points to 163.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 409 to 202 and 51 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.29% or 0.65 to $49.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.17% or 0.61 to hit $51.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1256.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.07% to 9.6958, while USD/SEK fell 0.27% to 8.8162.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 97.89.
