Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 2.03% or 2.10 points to trade at 105.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 1.41% or 2.10 points to end at 150.80 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 0.38% or 0.7 points to 185.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb), which fell 1.55% or 4.0 points to trade at 253.8 at the close. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 1.48% or 2.1 points to end at 139.5 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was down 1.47% or 0.39 points to 26.11.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 327 to 254 and 64 ended unchanged.
Shares in ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.38% or 0.7 to 185.5.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.94% or 0.83 to $41.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.76% or 0.79 to hit $44.19 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.39% or 5.25 to trade at $1351.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.19% to 9.4677, while USD/SEK fell 0.71% to 8.4754.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.44% at 95.64.
