Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 2.92% or 2.45 points to trade at 86.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 2.57% or 3.5 points to end at 139.6 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 1.44% or 3.40 points to 240.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which fell 2.44% or 3.30 points to trade at 132.00 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) declined 1.01% or 1.3 points to end at 127.5 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was down 1.01% or 0.95 points to 93.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 323 to 280 and 67 ended unchanged.
Shares in Boliden AB (ST:BOL) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.44% or 3.40 to 240.20.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.19% or 0.09 to $48.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $49.13 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.92% or 23.25 to trade at $1187.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.07% to 9.7890, while USD/SEK rose 0.61% to 9.2750.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.62% at 101.72.
