Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which rose 1.76% or 3.1 points to trade at 179.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) added 0.82% or 1.7 points to end at 208.4 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 0.82% or 1.3 points to 159.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which fell 2.33% or 2.15 points to trade at 90.25 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 1.74% or 2.30 points to end at 129.80 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 1.49% or 2.50 points to 165.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 214 to 212 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.61% or 0.30 to $48.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.22% or 0.12 to hit $56.01 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1092.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.31% to 9.4241, while USD/SEK fell 0.14% to 8.5876.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 97.37.
