Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 3.18%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 17.57% or 3.24 points to trade at 21.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 8.65% or 8.90 points to end at 111.80 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 7.49% or 9.3 points to 133.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which fell 1.06% or 3.0 points to trade at 281.3 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) added 0.06% or 0.1 points to end at 178.7 and Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) was up 0.49% or 0.24 points to 49.49.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 412 to 131 and 36 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 10.21% or 2.67 to $28.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 8.62% or 2.59 to hit $32.65 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.85% or 10.60 to trade at $1237.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.04% to 9.4857, while USD/SEK rose 0.84% to 8.4459.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 96.12.
