Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 2.10% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs), which rose 4.99% or 11.9 points to trade at 250.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 4.80% or 10.0 points to end at 218.2 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 4.38% or 5.80 points to 138.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 2.74% or 0.88 points to trade at 31.22 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 0.97% or 5.50 points to end at 562.50 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 0.37% or 1.8 points to 489.9.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 381 to 169 and 61 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.23% or 1.33 to $42.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.82% or 1.21 to hit $44.12 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.75% or 21.60 to trade at $1256.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.07% to 9.1888, while USD/SEK fell 0.43% to 8.0803.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.50% at 93.98.
