Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.62%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 2.89% or 8.5 points to trade at 302.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 2.40% or 3.60 points to end at 153.30 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was up 2.28% or 2.1 points to 94.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which rose 0.29% or 0.5 points to trade at 172.1 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) added 0.37% or 0.23 points to end at 63.23 and Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) was up 0.62% or 0.28 points to 45.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 395 to 174 and 55 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.76% or 1.31 to $46.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.73% or 1.33 to hit $47.47 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.67% or 9.15 to trade at $1357.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.26% to 9.4868, while USD/SEK rose 0.63% to 8.5782.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 96.32.
