Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.39% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 3.15% or 9.6 points to trade at 314.0 at the close. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 3.05% or 17.0 points to end at 573.5 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 2.91% or 5.4 points to 190.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs), which fell 1.15% or 2.4 points to trade at 206.6 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) added 0.13% or 0.08 points to end at 60.83 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) was up 0.45% or 0.50 points to 112.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 381 to 196 and 75 ended unchanged.
Shares in Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) rose to all time highs; up 3.15% or 9.6 to 314.0. Shares in ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.91% or 5.4 to 190.7.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.01% or 1.30 to $44.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 3.01% or 1.37 to hit $46.82 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.40% or 5.25 to trade at $1322.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.06% to 9.5844, while USD/SEK rose 0.45% to 8.5923.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 95.91.
