Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.28%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 12.89% or 18.10 points to trade at 158.50 at the close. Meanwhile, SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 6.11% or 2.16 points to end at 37.50 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was up 3.63% or 5.7 points to 162.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which fell 1.04% or 0.60 points to trade at 57.10 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 0.20% or 0.5 points to end at 254.0 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was up 0.12% or 0.10 points to 86.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 318 to 129 and 1 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.51% or 0.25 to $49.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.69% or 0.36 to hit $52.69 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.16% or 13.30 to trade at $1157.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.01% to 9.2996, while USD/SEK fell 0.79% to 8.1808.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.54% at 94.89.
