Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.20%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 8.82% or 2.50 points to trade at 30.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 5.26% or 13.9 points to end at 278.0 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 5.09% or 5.20 points to 107.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb), which fell 3.07% or 7.8 points to trade at 246.1 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 1.22% or 2.7 points to end at 219.4 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) was down 1.07% or 0.90 points to 83.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 341 to 288 and 41 ended unchanged.
Shares in Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.26% or 13.9 to 278.0. Shares in Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) rose to 3-years highs; rising 5.09% or 5.20 to 107.30.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.65% or 0.74 to $45.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.54% or 0.71 to hit $46.75 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.65% or 8.25 to trade at $1282.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.13% to 9.8929, while USD/SEK rose 0.54% to 9.0373.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 98.29.
