Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.18%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which rose 3.29% or 5.40 points to trade at 169.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 2.86% or 4.4 points to end at 158.2 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 2.59% or 2.15 points to 85.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 0.59% or 0.80 points to trade at 133.70 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 0.20% or 0.06 points to end at 29.67 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was down 0.13% or 0.2 points to 153.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 349 to 212 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.79% or 0.34 to $42.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.18% or 0.55 to hit $45.58 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.22% or 2.40 to trade at $1071.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.24% to 9.2752, while USD/SEK rose 0.46% to 8.7340.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 99.83.
