Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.00%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 6.05% or 8.30 points to trade at 145.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) added 4.81% or 6.60 points to end at 143.70 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 3.00% or 0.75 points to 25.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which fell 1.69% or 0.80 points to trade at 46.49 at the close. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) declined 0.09% or 0.08 points to end at 87.12 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was up 0.11% or 0.07 points to 61.17.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 401 to 171 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) rose to all time highs; rising 4.81% or 6.60 to 143.70.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.55% or 1.04 to $41.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.16% or 0.93 to hit $44.03 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.33% or 4.45 to trade at $1369.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.45% to 9.4882, while USD/SEK fell 0.35% to 8.5193.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 95.66.
