Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 4.67% or 1.37 points to trade at 30.69 at the close. Meanwhile, Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 4.29% or 22.50 points to end at 547.00 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 3.51% or 4.70 points to 138.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which fell 0.70% or 0.30 points to trade at 42.83 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 0.45% or 1.0 points to end at 221.6 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 0.38% or 1.8 points to 471.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 324 to 234 and 48 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.01% or 1.39 to $47.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.66% or 1.27 to hit $49.10 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.30% or 3.85 to trade at $1276.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.18% to 9.3426, while USD/SEK fell 0.05% to 8.2470.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 94.46.
