Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 4.84% or 1.87 points to trade at 40.50 at the close. Meanwhile, SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 4.06% or 1.45 points to end at 37.13 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 3.47% or 3.46 points to 103.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 3.40% or 2.65 points to trade at 75.35 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 1.38% or 0.95 points to end at 68.05 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was down 1.22% or 2.6 points to 210.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 309 to 305 and 60 ended unchanged.
Shares in Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.47% or 3.46 to 103.06.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.66% or 0.34 to $52.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.05% or 0.57 to hit $55.03 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.83% or 9.80 to trade at $1168.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.09% to 9.8172, while USD/SEK fell 0.36% to 9.1553.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 100.47.
