Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 2.20% or 0.61 points to trade at 28.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 1.90% or 4.3 points to end at 230.4 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was up 1.29% or 0.82 points to 64.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 1.36% or 2.00 points to trade at 144.90 at the close. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) declined 0.20% or 0.10 points to end at 50.15 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was 0.00% or 0.0 points to 180.1.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 410 to 163 and 61 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.42% or 1.07 to $43.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.10% or 0.97 to hit $45.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.30% or 3.95 to trade at $1327.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.04% to 9.5030, while USD/SEK rose 0.01% to 8.6535.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 97.40.
