Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.62% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which rose 3.53% or 5.8 points to trade at 170.0 at the close. Meanwhile, SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 2.56% or 0.80 points to end at 32.02 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was up 2.30% or 2.4 points to 106.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which fell 2.12% or 1.08 points to trade at 49.92 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) declined 1.93% or 3.8 points to end at 193.3 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) was down 1.51% or 8.50 points to 554.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 291 to 274 and 39 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.72% or 0.73 to $43.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.79% or 0.79 to hit $44.82 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1254.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.18% to 9.1666, while USD/SEK rose 0.09% to 8.0930.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 94.28.
