Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 3.00% or 2.50 points to trade at 85.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) added 2.59% or 6.6 points to end at 261.0 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was up 1.37% or 2.0 points to 148.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which fell 1.89% or 1.35 points to trade at 70.00 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 1.61% or 1.35 points to end at 82.75 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was down 1.26% or 1.00 points to 78.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 304 to 257 and 59 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.82% or 0.91 to $49.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.84% or 0.93 to hit $49.72 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.50% or 19.35 to trade at $1272.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.27% to 9.3018, while USD/SEK rose 0.20% to 8.2592.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 94.01.
