Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 5.03% or 11.00 points to trade at 229.80 at the close. Meanwhile, SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) added 4.13% or 6.3 points to end at 158.9 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was up 3.92% or 1.75 points to 46.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which fell 4.58% or 13.6 points to trade at 283.1 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 2.60% or 5.7 points to end at 213.7 and Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) was down 2.43% or 6.2 points to 249.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 359 to 254 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in Boliden AB (ST:BOL) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.03% or 11.00 to 229.80. Shares in SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.13% or 6.3 to 158.9.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.39% or 0.63 to $44.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.25% or 0.58 to hit $45.78 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.90% or 11.50 to trade at $1262.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.05% to 9.8885, while USD/SEK rose 0.41% to 9.0869.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 98.86.
