Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.24% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which rose 1.55% or 2.7 points to trade at 176.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) added 1.21% or 0.57 points to end at 47.56 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 1.21% or 6.0 points to 502.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 2.98% or 3.50 points to trade at 114.00 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) declined 0.66% or 1.3 points to end at 197.0 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was down 0.65% or 1.4 points to 213.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 276 to 262 and 78 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.59% or 0.29 to $49.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.72% or 0.36 to hit $50.31 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.76% or 9.20 to trade at $1207.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.07% to 9.2856, while USD/SEK fell 0.16% to 8.3368.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.72.
