Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 2.61% or 5.4 points to trade at 212.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) added 2.09% or 1.00 points to end at 48.77 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 1.82% or 3.50 points to 196.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which fell 1.48% or 0.87 points to trade at 57.98 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) declined 0.92% or 2.0 points to end at 214.9 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 0.91% or 0.65 points to 70.45.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 302 to 302 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in Boliden AB (ST:BOL) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.82% or 3.50 to 196.20.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.57% or 1.64 to $44.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 3.55% or 1.70 to hit $46.23 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.02% or 13.75 to trade at $1330.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.49% to 9.6480, while USD/SEK rose 0.92% to 8.6098.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 95.49.
