Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 3.18% or 4.60 points to trade at 149.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) added 1.91% or 3.8 points to end at 203.2 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 1.01% or 4.9 points to 492.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 9.55% or 10.40 points to trade at 98.50 at the close. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 0.81% or 1.2 points to end at 146.2 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was down 0.81% or 1.4 points to 170.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 304 to 255 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.35% or 0.17 to $49.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.58% or 0.29 to hit $50.01 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.05% or 0.65 to trade at $1214.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.11% to 9.2931, while USD/SEK rose 0.44% to 8.3323.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 95.53.
