Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Services and Plantations sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.65% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI), which rose 18.17% or 245.20 points to trade at 1595.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) added 16.67% or 0.100 points to end at 0.700 and Agalawatte Plantations PLC (CM:AGAL) was up 11.68% or 2.30 points to 22.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH), which fell 6.25% or 0.10 points to trade at 1.50 at the close. Asia Asset Finance Ltd (CM:ASAS) declined 5.88% or 0.10 points to end at 1.60 and Fortress Resorts Plc (CM:RHTL) was down 4.52% or 0.70 points to 14.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 134 to 45 and 39 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.69% or 0.30 to $43.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.35% or 0.59 to hit $44.22 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.05% or 0.65 to trade at $1267.25 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.22% to 210.450, while USD/LKR rose 0.04% to 146.035.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 94.17.
