Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Information Technology and Investment Trust sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.39% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 50.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.3000 at the close. Meanwhile, Ceylon Printers PLC (CM:CPRT) added 24.96% or 17.80 points to end at 89.10 and Nanda Investments and Finance PLC (CM:NAND) was up 24.83% or 11.20 points to 56.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anilana Hotels & Properties Ltd (CM:ANIL), which fell 7.69% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.200 at the close. Kotmale Holdings PLC (CM:LAMB) declined 7.44% or 19.30 points to end at 240.00 and Lake House Printers and Publishers PLC (CM:LPRT) was down 6.90% or 10.00 points to 135.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 132 to 72 and 55 ended unchanged.
Shares in Anilana Hotels & Properties Ltd (CM:ANIL) fell to all time lows; losing 7.69% or 0.100 to 1.200. Shares in Nanda Investments and Finance PLC (CM:NAND) rose to all time highs; up 24.83% or 11.20 to 56.30.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.51% or 0.25 to $48.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.72% or 0.37 to hit $52.02 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 9.37 to trade at $1245.77 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.25% to 197.625, while USD/LKR fell 0.12% to 152.510.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 97.85.
