Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Stores & Supplies, Motors and Palm Oil sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND), which rose 24.72% or 445.00 points to trade at 2245.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Huejay International Investments PLC (CM:HUEJ) added 15.00% or 8.40 points to end at 64.40 and Millennium Housing Developers PLC (CM:MHDL) was up 14.10% or 1.10 points to 8.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shalimar Estates (CM:SHAL), which fell 23.96% or 545.00 points to trade at 1730.00 at the close. Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ) declined 23.86% or 596.30 points to end at 1903.10 and PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) was down 16.67% or 0.10 points to 0.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 128 to 80 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) fell to all time lows; falling 16.67% or 0.10 to 0.60.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.14% or 0.07 to $46.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.46% or 0.23 to hit $48.80 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.10% or 1.10 to trade at $1107.30 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.66% to 219.495, while USD/LKR rose 0.88% to 142.670.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 98.12.
