Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (MC:IDR), which rose 2.52% or 0.260 points to trade at 10.590 at the close. Meanwhile, Acciona (MC:ANA) added 2.38% or 1.590 points to end at 68.450 and Arcel. Mittal (MC:MTS) was up 1.81% or 0.094 points to 5.274 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Santander (MC:SAN), which fell 2.29% or 0.089 points to trade at 3.789 at the close. Repsol (MC:REP) declined 1.79% or 0.215 points to end at 11.765 and Bankia (MC:BKIA) was down 1.56% or 0.011 points to 0.692.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 123 to 72 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.26% or 3.40 to $1328.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.65% or 1.17 to hit $43.02 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.32% or 1.07 to trade at $45.02 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.0983, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.8362.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 97.37.
