Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Consumer Goods and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.43% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Arcel. Mittal (MC:MTS), which rose 4.65% or 0.274 points to trade at 6.170 at the close. Meanwhile, B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) added 2.59% or 0.031 points to end at 1.229 and Bankia (MC:BKIA) was up 2.50% or 0.019 points to 0.779 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amadeus IT (MC:AMA), which fell 1.14% or 0.505 points to trade at 43.810 at the close. Enagas (MC:ENAG) declined 0.71% or 0.185 points to end at 26.035 and Mapfre (MC:MAP) was down 0.57% or 0.015 points to 2.600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 116 to 79 and 19 ended unchanged.

Gold for December delivery was down 0.19% or 2.35 to $1265.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $50.69 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.47% or 0.24 to trade at $51.62 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.0867, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8894.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.46% at 98.74.
