Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Building & Construction and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (MC:IDR), which rose 4.60% or 0.470 points to trade at 10.695 at the close. Meanwhile, Bankia (MC:BKIA) added 2.21% or 0.019 points to end at 0.877 and Arcel. Mittal (MC:MTS) was up 2.01% or 0.098 points to 4.970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Caixabank SA (MC:CABK), which fell 2.99% or 0.080 points to trade at 2.598 at the close. Obrascon Huarte Lain (MC:OHL) declined 2.02% or 0.120 points to end at 5.833 and Telefonica (MC:TEF) was down 1.76% or 0.170 points to 9.465.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 123 to 80 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was down 0.11% or 1.30 to $1233.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.70% or 0.29 to hit $41.42 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.23% or 0.10 to trade at $43.20 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.27% to 1.1314, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.7926.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 94.47.
