Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were B. Sabadell (MC:SABE), which rose 2.08% or 0.024 points to trade at 1.180 at the close. Meanwhile, Int.Airl.Grp (MC:ICAG) added 1.78% or 0.079 points to end at 4.528 and Banco Popular (MC:POP) was up 1.59% or 0.018 points to 1.151 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arcel. Mittal (MC:MTS), which fell 2.21% or 0.127 points to trade at 5.606 at the close. Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) declined 1.24% or 0.410 points to end at 32.635 and Gas Natural (MC:GAS) was down 0.90% or 0.165 points to 18.120.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 102 to 89 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.20% or 2.65 to $1343.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.91% or 1.43 to hit $47.68 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.95% or 1.50 to trade at $49.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1317, while EUR/GBP fell 0.54% to 0.8614.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 94.54.
