Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Telecoms & IT and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Int.Airl.Grp (MC:ICAG), which rose 2.28% or 0.191 points to trade at 8.565 at the close. Meanwhile, Gamesa (MC:GAM) added 1.62% or 0.245 points to end at 15.340 and Telefonica (MC:TEF) was up 1.36% or 0.163 points to 12.102 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were FCC (MC:FCC), which fell 3.60% or 0.269 points to trade at 7.194 at the close. Arcel. Mittal (MC:MTS) declined 3.55% or 0.179 points to end at 4.860 and Abengoa B (MC:ABGek) was down 2.89% or 0.032 points to 1.060.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 131 to 82 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Int.Airl.Grp (MC:ICAG) rose to all time highs; up 2.28% or 0.191 to 8.565.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.13% or 1.40 to $1089.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.48% or 0.65 to hit $44.52 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.77% or 0.37 to trade at $48.29 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.0692, while EUR/GBP fell 0.48% to 0.7079.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 99.46.
