Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities, Financial Services and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.62%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Solidarity Saudi Takaful Co (SE:8290), which rose 10.98% or 0.95 points to trade at 9.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE:8160) added 9.94% or 0.90 points to end at 9.95 and Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (SE:6070) was up 9.77% or 2.50 points to 28.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Samba Financial Group (SE:1090), which fell 5.32% or 1.25 points to trade at 22.25 at the close. Saudi Cable Company (SE:2110) declined 4.83% or 0.35 points to end at 6.90 and The Company for Coop. Insurance (SE:8010) was down 4.56% or 4.00 points to 83.75.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 82 to 69 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.71% or 0.73 to $43.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.81% or 0.80 to hit $45.12 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1240.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.35% to 4.2417, while USD/SAR fell 0.03% to 3.7498.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.42% at 94.34.
