Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Hotels & Tourism, Retail and Media & Publishing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (SE:6070), which rose 4.75% or 1.40 points to trade at 30.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Astra Industrial Group (SE:1212) added 4.00% or 0.70 points to end at 18.20 and Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SE:2250) was up 3.13% or 0.45 points to 14.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Ceramic Co. (SE:2040), which fell 7.23% or 2.90 points to trade at 37.20 at the close. Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (SE:4240) declined 6.62% or 3.00 points to end at 42.30 and Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (SE:4290) was down 5.36% or 1.50 points to 26.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 125 to 29 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.59% or 0.27 to $45.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.57% or 0.27 to hit $46.90 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.14% or 1.85 to trade at $1317.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.14% to 4.1370, while USD/SAR fell 0.00% to 3.7503.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 96.99.
