Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrial Investment, Building & Construction and Petrochemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were United Cooperative Assurance Co (SE:8190), which rose 9.48% or 1.00 points to trade at 11.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Transport & Investment Co (SE:4110) added 9.21% or 5.25 points to end at 62.25 and Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) was up 6.33% or 1.50 points to 25.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Industrial Development Co. (SE:2130), which fell 3.42% or 0.40 points to trade at 11.30 at the close. Tabuk Agriculture Development Co (SE:6040) declined 2.57% or 0.40 points to end at 15.15 and Alujain Corporation (SE:2170) was down 2.50% or 0.35 points to 13.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 104 to 46 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.36% or 0.61 to $45.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.64% or 0.76 to hit $47.02 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.49% or 20.05 to trade at $1323.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.15% to 4.1653, while USD/SAR fell 0.02% to 3.7497.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 96.27.
