Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Transport, Industrial Investment and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were National Gas & Industrialization Co (SE:2080), which rose 5.47% or 1.40 points to trade at 27.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Filing & Packing Materials Co. (SE:2180) added 4.42% or 1.90 points to end at 44.90 and Yanbu National Petrochemical Co (SE:2290) was up 2.72% or 1.10 points to 41.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310), which fell 5.20% or 0.45 points to trade at 8.20 at the close. Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (SE:8100) declined 4.28% or 0.70 points to end at 15.65 and Allied Cooperative Insurance Group (SE:8150) was down 3.03% or 0.45 points to 14.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 104 to 46 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.11% or 1.05 to $48.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.10% or 1.08 to hit $50.24 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.39% or 5.15 to trade at $1321.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.23% to 4.1627, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7510.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 95.86.
