Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Transport and Cement sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Wataniya Insurance Company (SE:8300), which rose 9.62% or 6.25 points to trade at 71.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213) added 8.77% or 1.35 points to end at 16.75 and Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040) was up 7.01% or 2.70 points to 41.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi United Cooperative Insurance (SE:8060), which fell 2.13% or 0.25 points to trade at 11.50 at the close. Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company (SE:2350) declined 1.78% or 0.15 points to end at 8.30 and Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE:4002) was down 1.71% or 2.00 points to 115.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 114 to 52.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.90% or 0.80 to $42.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.11% or 0.94 to hit $45.77 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.05% or 11.20 to trade at $1078.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.28% to 4.0005, while USD/SAR rose 0.11% to 3.7548.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 99.67.
