Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Transport, Petrochemicals and Industrial Investment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE:6060), which rose 7.10% or 6.10 points to trade at 92.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Int Petrochemical Co (SE:2310) added 4.82% or 1.55 points to end at 33.70 and The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) was up 4.82% or 2.69 points to 58.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Makkah Construction&Development Co (SE:4100), which fell 2.88% or 3.36 points to trade at 113.50 at the close. Bupa Arabia for Coop. Insurance (SE:8210) declined 2.50% or 5.70 points to end at 222.00 and Fitaihi Holding Group (SE:4180) was down 2.44% or 0.65 points to 26.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 105 to 56.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.00% or 0.56 to $56.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.68% or 1.05 to hit $63.78 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.10% or 1.20 to trade at $1188.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.39% to 4.0391, while USD/SAR fell 0.02% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 97.98.
