Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Telecoms & IT and Cement sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.01% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were National Metal Manufacturing Co. (SE:2220), which rose 6.53% or 1.45 points to trade at 23.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Dur Hospitality (SE:4010) added 5.41% or 1.05 points to end at 20.45 and ALAHLI TAKAFUL COMPANY (SE:8130) was up 4.94% or 1.60 points to 34.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070), which fell 5.59% or 1.60 points to trade at 27.00 at the close. National Petrochemical Company (SE:2002) declined 4.04% or 0.80 points to end at 19.00 and United Cooperative Assurance Co (SE:8190) was down 3.88% or 0.50 points to 12.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 107 to 51 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.17% or 0.08 to $48.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $49.01 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.25% or 2.95 to trade at $1184.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.02% to 3.9572, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7508.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 101.84.
